With just more than two weeks before the May 9 elections, former Secretary of National Defense Gilbert (GIBO) Teodoro’s ranking in senatorial surveys continued to rise.

The latest national election survey of Argus Polls, Inc. shows that Gibo Teodoro ranked 7^th among senatorial candidates in its survey conducted from April 9 to 12, with a total of 10,000 respondents across the country. Argus is an independent survey services provider.

Earlier this month, the Publicus Asia survey listed Gibo Teodoro in its top 12 senatorial surveys at the 10^th spot for the period March 30 up to April 6.

Gibo Teodoro attributed the continuous rise in surveys since the start of the national campaign to his increased presence in UniTeam campaign sorties throughout the country, and social and traditional media, as well as his stand on current issues.

Gibo Teodoro, a former Tarlac congressman, believes that the endorsement of President Rodrigo Duterte will help him in his senatorial bid. Pres. Duterte this week said that Gibo Teodoro is his top pick for senator in May 9 polls.

Pres. Duterte cited Gibo Teodoro for not being tainted with corruption while in public office, and his wisdom of laws being the 1989 bar top notcher and a Master of Laws degree holder at Harvard. The President also said that Gibo Teodoro is well-loved and respected by the military and that he managed the Department of National Defense productively during his term of office at the department.
