Former Defense Secretary Gilbert “Gibo” Teodoro Jr. is the latest senatorial candidate endorsed by President Duterte.

In a video message, the President urged voters to support Teodoro, citing his competence and integrity.

Teodoro, a Harvard-educated lawyer and pilot, is part of the senatorial slate of the presidential tandem of former Senator Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte.

“I encourage everyone to support former Defense Secretary Gibo Teodoro as he runs for senator,” the President said.

“Gibo is not only an intelligent person but is also an honest public servant,” he added.

Duterte is confident that Teodoro will be an asset to the Senate helping propel the country’s progress.

“With innovative yet carefully crafted ideas, he can surely help our country progress further once he gets elected to the Senate,” he said. “Vote for him in the coming elections. Mabuhay ka Gibo,” he said.

Teodoro, in the meantime, thanked the President for his endorsement.

“My sincerest thanks, President Rody Duterte, for your kind words and endorsement. I am honored and humbled. Mabuhay po kayo!” he wrote on Facebook.
