July 3, 2024 (Mandaluyong City) – Secretary of National Defense (SND) Gilberto C. Teodoro, Jr. met with former SND Renato S. de Villa and the Board of Trustees of the Association of Generals and Flag Officers (AGFO) led by VADM Emilio C. Macarayag (Ret) earlier today.

Secretary Teodoro, together with Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Chief of Staff General Romeo S Brawner, Jr., discussed with former Secretary de Villa and the AGFO Board of Trustees the priorities of the Department of National Defense (DND) under the current administration. He also shared the DND’s policy direction on crucial defense challenges, particularly on the issue of the West Philippine Sea (WPS).

Secretary Teodoro also expressed his appreciation for the support of AGFO to the efforts by the DND, AFP and the national government in addressing security challenges in the country, including Chinese aggression in the WPS and the illegal crime hubs posing as offshore gaming operators in the country.
