Former Defense Secretary Gilberto (GIBO) Teodoro, Jr. urged for the development of infrastructure projects that will boost the country’s tourism industry. Tourism, he said is a sunshine industry and a potential substantial contributor to Philippine economic growth.

Gibo Teodoro, who has key experience in various private companies and industries, said that tourism as a sunshine industry has prospective high growth rates and abundance of venture capital funding.

Gibo Teodoro, a former Tarlac congressman, said as an example of necessary tourism infrastructure, some frequented islands and beaches lack adequate medical facilities to ensure that tourists, both local and foreign, are taken cared of.

Gibo also noted the need to build the capacity of our embassies, these being one of the forefronts of our selling points to the world.
