GIBO sees business investments for growth
January 1, 2022Former Defense Secretary Gilberto (GIBO) Teodoro, Jr. said that to stimulate business investments that will result to jobs, livelihood opportunities and economic growth in the country, the policies, governance, commerce and other standards should be uniquely for the Philippines and thought of from our perspective.
Gibo Teodoro, who has key experience in various private companies and industries, noted that the cost of doing business in the country is high because of some ‘cut and paste’ best practices regulations. The former Tarlac congressman said that the guidelines for setting up and operating businesses must tailor fit what is best for the country to entice investors.
This Gibo Teodoro said is with the challenge to merge the evolving best practices norms from the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) and other agencies and mend these with the living conditions of Filipinos. The OECD is a group of countries that discuss and develop economic and social policies.
