Former Defense Secretary Gilberto (GIBO) Teodoro, Jr. said that we must be able to differentiate from those with legitimate political aims as against those who simply want to grab power or sow fear when pressed to define a terrorist.

Gibo Teodoro, a 2022 senatorial candidate, supports the appropriate budget for the National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC) for as long the funds are used properly. Recent developments at the House of Representatives had some groups attempting to block the NTF-ELCAC budget. Among the task force objectives is to spur the development of the rural areas impoverished by the presence of communist terrorists.

Teodoro, a former Tarlac congressman, said that the communist insurgency has been ongoing for such a long time and that it is high time for its true nature to be exposed so that resources can be shifted to other productive purposes.
