Gibo Teodoro Addresses National Security Law Class
November 6, 2021“These are some of the concerns that we have to continue to address and find solutions (to) together with the pandemic,” former Defense Secretary Gilberto (GIBO) Teodoro told law students at National Security Law class where he was a guest resource speaker.
Over 250 participants from all over the country, composed mostly of law students, lawyers, law practitioners and other guests, discussed national and international security issues, legal concepts and practices, and other matters during a San Beda University Master of Laws online class.
Through a wide network of law practitioners and educators, participants from other schools from various parts of the country were invited. Teodoro replied to all questions and gave advice to other concerns in the nearly 3-hour forum.
“We have to restructure our country to be a more agile state,” Teodoro, a lawyer himself and the 1989 Bar Topnotcher said. “We did not foresee world developments, such as the pandemic, that adversely affected our country. That is why we need to restructure our government to enable our regions to capacitate and ultimately react accordingly and faster.”
Teodoro’s interaction with law students and practitioners is part of his continuing consultations with various sectors to determine the country’s concerns and to find solutions.
