GIBO urges for capacitating MSMEs in digital technology
April 7, 2022Former Secretary of National Defense and senatorial candidate Gilbert (GIBO) Teodoro will support policies that will help small businesses to embark on digitalization. This is with the end in view of the businesses’ sustainability and eventual expansion.
Gibo Teodoro said capacitating micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in digital technology will help them expand their businesses locally and even overseas.
“Digital technology is a great equalizer as it allows local MSMEs to offer their products and services to a wider market, just like what the large enterprises do,” the former Tarlac congressman and 1989 Bar topnotcher said.
Gibo Teodoro, who has vast experience in both public and private sector, added that while the government and companies are working together to improve digital infrastructure in the country, MSMEs should also explore opportunities in digitalization. Marketing their products and services online will result to favorable outputs.
According to world’s leading market research store Research and Markets, the value of global e-commerce last year reached US$31 trillion. It is expected to grow to US$55.6 trillion by 2027.
Improving digital connectivity in the country is one of the advocacies of Gibo Teodoro.
