GIBO urges law students to set standards and serve the country
January 19, 2022Former Defense Secretary Gilberto (GIBO) Teodoro, Jr. advised law students to set personal standards but these must be realistic so that there are no failed expectations as difficulties are part of law school.
Gibo Teodoro, a lawyer and 1989 Bar Topnotcher, recently held virtual dialogues with law students of the Colegio dela Purisima Concepcion in Roxas City and the University of Negros Occidental – Recoletos in Bacolod City as part of his continuing consultations with various sectors with the objective of finding new ideas and solutions to the country’s concerns.
Gibo Teodoro, a senatorial candidate, told the aspiring lawyers that the state of the country’s justice system needs improvement and that Filipinos, especially the underprivileged lack the means to defend themselves. He encouraged the students by saying that they are the future of the legal profession in the public sector and private law practice.
Gibo Teodoro, who studied law at the University of the Philippines and completed his Master of Laws degree at Harvard Law School, urged the students to serve our country if given the opportunity.
