GIBO urges private sector to help in booster jabs’ rollout
April 5, 2022Former Secretary of National Defense and senatorial candidate Gilbert (GIBO) Teodoro urges the private sector to assist the government in rolling out booster shots against COVID-19.
Gibo Teodoro made the statement amid reports that some 27 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines are set to expire this coming July.
“Companies can help the government in its vaccination drive by giving incentives to their employees,” Gibo Teodoro said. “This may include giving a paid time off for the day that their employees get their booster jabs.”
The senatorial bet said this kind of incentive also shows that firms value the health of their employees.
The former Tarlac representative and 1989 Bar topnotcher added that the government should also give the private sector the access to these 27 million jabs that are set to expire in three months.
Gibo Teodoro said that the country must preserve the gains of the government’s vaccination drive as the Philippines has better COVID-19 mitigation outcomes than some other countries. This we can achieve through a favorable booster program.
