DAANBANTAYAN, CEBU February 10, 2022 – Former Defense Secretary Gilbert (GIBO) Teodoro met officials of Cebu’s 4th Congressional District this morning to discuss local issues at the Kandaya Resort in this city. Among those discussed were concerns on livelihood and food production sustainability, climate change and energy, and the lack of facilities in tourism areas.

Gibo Teodoro, a candidate for senator, said that local autonomy and the devolution of resources to the LGU (Local Government Unit) level are among his priority agendas. He encouraged officials to voice out their concerns with the end in view of finding appropriate solutions that will benefit communities.

During the meeting, Cebu 4th District Representative Janice Salimbangon, Medellin Mayor Joven Mondigo, and other key officials expressed their support for Gibo Teodoro.

Later in the day, Gibo Teodoro also met with Ako Bisaya Partylist Rep. Sonny Lagon, Consolacion Mayor Joannes Alegado, Vice Mayor Teresita Alegado, and other officials and leaders to discuss local plans. The officials conveyed their support for the senatorial bid of Teodoro.
