GIBO vows to help address poverty, hunger, unemployment

April 1, 2022

Former Secretary of National Defense and senatorial candidate Gilbert (GIBO) Teodoro vows to help in addressing poverty, hunger, and unemployment as these remain the key concerns of Filipinos in the post-pandemic period.

“Even before the pandemic, poverty, hunger, and joblessness have been the top national issues, and the pandemic has exacerbated these problems,” Gibo Teodoro said.

Gibo Teodoro, who has vast experience in both the public and private sectors, believes that creating a conducive business environment will encourage the private sector to invest and create more jobs and livelihood opportunities for Filipinos.

“The administration has prepared the playing field to attract more investments in the country, especially with the enactment of key economic bills such as the amendments to the Retail Trade Liberalization Act, the Foreign Investment Act, and the Public Service Act,” the former Tarlac congressman said.

“The next leadership, including legislators, has to ensure that these laws are properly implemented, while making sure that future policies will not contradict these current gains,” Gibo Teodoro, the 1989 Bar topnotcher said.
